Report: Summary report on the current state-of-the-art of Exhaust Flow Meter (EFM) calibration procedures, including (i) its associated uncertainty for relevant carrier gases and (ii) its relation to on-road emission tests

This report follows from a literature investigation into the current state-of-the-art of PEMS EFM SI-traceable calibration procedures.

MetroPEMS deliverable D6 (Open-Access report)

Summary report on the current state-of-the-art of Exhaust Flow Meter (EFM) calibration procedures, including (i) its associated uncertainty for relevant carrier gases and (ii) its relation to on-road emission tests

This deliverable is comprised of a definition of metrology terms chapter, followed by a brief description of the current legislative requirements, the currently employed SI-traceable calibration procedures, including a description of the EFM error and uncertainty, an overview of currently known uncertainty sources affecting the EFM error, a chapter culminating the information into a generic uncertainty budget for EFM uncertainty in on-road conditions.
